India has got abundant Sun and therefore it makes sense to harness the power of Solar Energy for Agricultural purpose. Our Solar Panels are mounted with a unique patented magnetic technology which is used for the first time in India. Solar Energy is clean energy and eco- friendly. In our Singur warehouse, we have installed 322 solar panels to generate 82 Kw of energy. Our Solar System uses a sophisticated Inverter Technology to store solar energy in batteries so that we can generate electricity 24/7 without support of Grid. By doing so, we save on the costly electric power in India. This makes our project more viable although initial costs are bit high. In addition, Solar Storage Energy System is great for Business Continuity under adverse conditions like Cyclone etc where normal Grid is not available.
Our Warehouse has facility for Electric Vehicle Charging from the excess Solar Power generated. So in future, farmers who have electric two wheelers can also charge their vehicles in our warehouse.
In a way, KSW warehouses helps in reduction of CO2 emission and thus have a positive impact on Climate Change.
Our photovoltaic power generation system is configured as shown right. From morning to evening, the solar photo-voltaic panels (solar cell) on the upper left of the figure convert solar irradiation into electrical energy, in the form of direct current (DC). The energy thus produced is sent to the power conditioner in the center. The power conditioner divides the DC input into two channels. The first channel has a built-in charger that supplies DC power to charge and store energy in the battery shown on the left. The second channel has a built-in inverter that converts the DC into alternating current (AC), which is then used by the air conditioner, lighting, and other consumer outlets in the warehouse shown on the right. When the sun sets in the evening, and no more solar power is available, the energy stored in the battery is returned to the inverter channel of the power conditioner, which then converts it to alternating current (AC), and supply to the warehouse loads. This system is all automatically controlled in the power conditioner 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition, in case this cycle is stopped due to bad weather, natural disasters, malfunctions, etc., we have installed grid connection (grid connection, picture of utility pole) for backup.
